I'd pay a visit to the Elise/Exige section of the PH forum and ask the BOLOCs (BOurnemouth Lotus Owners Club) guys about good roads around that way. They have a gone a little quieter of late, but they used to arrange all sorts of runs. An enquiry will surely reawake their interest.
Hope that helps.

Go west my son...

Zig Zag Hill is worth a visit if you're in something small and chuckable and there are plenty of nice roads en-route. There are a couple of half decent roads on the New Forest too, but they're often busy and (technically) there is a blanket 40mph speed limit.

'fraid I can't think of anything more local to Bournemouth itself, but this might provide a spot of inspiration: http://chriscarblog.blogspot.com/2010/07/zig-and-z...

There's a lovely road between Corfe Castle and Studland over on the isle of purbeck too that I'd recommend

The Wimborne to Horton road is lovely, then pick up the B3081 over to ZigZag hill. :Driving:

I spent a week commuting from Bournemouth to Somerton and made sure I went via Zig Zag hill every time. It's great fun around there, even in a diesel Mondeo.

The 40mph in the New Forest is there for a very good reason and there is no 'technicality' about it.

Grrrrrr

I live just off the B3081. Top choice!

B3078 from Wimborne to Cranborne is also really good, the pick up the 3081.

From Shaftesbury you can then take the not so good A30 back to Salisbury or better still, head a bit further North on the A350 to Hindon then take the B3089 back to Teffont Magna & the A30. Well worth a few hours hoon!
