From when was the W203 galvanized?

I've started looking at W203s with the intention of replacing my daily driver.

Having done a trawl of the web, it looks like rust was an issue before the bodies were galvanized.

Two questions that I would appreciated help with:
- From when was the W203 galvanized?
- How can I tell in crossover years?

2nd quarter of 2003 I believe, but built from thereon not registered from thereon, my car has a little certificate (all in German) which has the build date on it and it's also on a sticker in the service book so check the books/manuals, should be in there somewhere.

I too have been looking at 203s and should be picking one up at the weekend.

Sure I also picked up that some late 2002/early 2003 RHD ones came from Bremen and not SA.
