Most would say Lobster, my vote would be John Dory. So what is the Ultimate Seafood?

I'd have to go for Scallops (King of course!), but I do love Lobster as well.

For me... Cromer crab, monkfish and cockles. Crayfish tails are up there too.

Barbecued sardines are hard to beat. A boneless version would be ultimate.

Langoustine? Sweeter meat and a more refined flavour

Mackerel.

Versatile, cheap, underrated. If I had to choose one seafood to eat for the rest of my life, mackerel it would be.

Anchovies!

I actually couldn't choose, but everything else I would have nominated has already been posted.

Lobster, particularly this chap on the right nearest the camera.

Never, ever have I had lobster before that tasted anywhere near as sweet and delicious. And yes, it was served raw (and still moving) lick

You jest surely? They have to be one of the most god awful disgusting things I have ever put in my mouth, I'd rather eat a bucket of marmite and I can't stand marmite hehe

RM Seafood in Las Vegas. Comparable to some of the best I've had in Japan though. My OH had never tried sushi, sashimi or anything adventurous with seafood, so we ordered up a few platters and educated her. I've eaten a ton of great seafood over the years but that really was something special.

That's an absolutely great shout.

Lobster probably remains by favourite but it's very much for high days and holidays.

Anchovies on the otherhand are 7 days a week ultra accessible salty umaminess.

I can quite easily demolish a jar or tin with a couple of cold beers. Nom Nom Nom yum

So was the Lobster still alive when served, or was it just nerves going through the motions?
