A one owner 1999 Griff in a sensible colour with 23k, why on earth was that priced so low?
That was exactly my view, especially given the plate was included and must be worth a few poundsWith a bit of discount on top it was duly purchased earlier today and will be delivered Thursday.

That appears to be a lovely car. The body colour and interior trim combination is great and the car appears completely unadulterated.
I agree that the car could have sold for more...but in these difficult trading conditions, the dealer has been very realistic with his price expectations and clearly does not want to be "stuck" with the car in stock until next spring.
This was clearly someone's pride and joy and now you are the fortunate new owner! Enjoy!

Hi,
Yes it wasn't nice to drive in the wet, don't think they gave much thought to the ventilation system. It misted up very badly. It was always in the garage sheeted up from November to March.
I think the problem was that the fresh air supply to the heater feeds through the cavity between the passenger side inner and outer wings. I read somewhere of a mod to fit one of those flexi pipes inside the wing, between front air intake and the heater.
It was a wonderfull car, I really enjoyed it but I'd taken it to Chris Neils ( supplying Dealer) for a starting problem and saw a Porsche I fancied.
The starting problem was no feed to the starter motor. It began as intermittent but became permanent. I found I could operate the starter with a length of insulated welding rod touching the +ve terminal on the starter with a flying lead to the battery terminal ! I'd worked this out after I'd had the RAC to it a few times. That developed into a lead directly from the battery to the starter motor with a push button switch hidden under the dash. I became convinced the key switch was faulty and eventually took it to C Neils to be replaced. They said it was the alarm but by that time my eyes had alighted on this Porker!
The only other issue I recall was it kept blowing otter switches, the one that controls the fans. The contacts would fuse together. I solved that with an extra relay, strapped to the cross member under the front of the bonnet. I think I've got 2 or 3 spare otter switches if you are interested. It used to worry me how hot it got and I found Red Line Water wetter made a significant difference. If you've not found it yet there is a fan overide switch in place of the Dash Light switch, with a tell tale light above the steering colum shroud - but you couldn't miss that could you!
The original dash light switch is just loose, tucked up behind the dash.
Its always been serviced by C Neils, it's had 1 set of new tyres but the fronts are slightly too big, and RVT fitted a set of adjustable Spax after a front one started leaking.
I did have a bump in it once on the M1 outside Sheffield in queuing traffic, I was fiddling with the Radio when every one stopped again. I was able to drive it back home to Glossop but it had to have a new front grafted on. It was joined above the front wheel centre line they told me. C N did that repair too.
Didn't attend many TVR meetings, never seemed to have the time but I did go to an East Anglian meeting at Duxford once. We were allowed to give them full welly up the main runway. I think I saw nearly 140 on the speedo ( 2 up) but did get much of a look - what with trying to slow down for the right hander at the end!
Anything else you'd like to know let me know !
