Got a couple of foreign trips on the horizion, all of which will require a hire car.

Is it possible to purchase any sort of annual CDW/LDW policy to cover me in different cars in different countries? Or will I just have to pay Avis etc each time I hire a car?

I think most/all hire companies include CDW. However, they then give you the opportunity of purchasing further insurance to protect you from the excess. This can be £10-£15 per day ! Plenty of companys offer CDW excess insurance on a per diem or annual basis. Mrs. Google is your friend but I use essentialtravel.co.uk or excessprotection.co.uk.
