Used to be McLaren.. Wonder if it is and its where all these are stored? Its only a few minutes drive from McLaren HQ..

to be honest, as nicely preserved as they all are, I think it's kind of sad, should have sold them on, so we could see them running. Oh, I know they are too complicated and expensive to be run by anyone other than the factory. But as dust free and hermetically sealed as it is, and have the odd run out at the FoS, it's a barn, wouldn't it be nice to see a bunch of them being hooned around with the other great cars from their era, particularly Ferrari at the Silverstone Classic et al or a championship of their own?

You're assuming they're all runners and not just a pile of bits and spares.
Yes, that warehouse used to be McLaren. The trophy room and a couple of the old cars used to be in a room at the front. you couldnt see anything during the day but at night it would sometimes be lit up and you could get a better view.
I understand its where they now service the F1's and the SLR's. There is another building further along albert drive that used to be the HQ and I think it was where they built the formula 1 cars.
It always had a Mclaren hanging in a window at the side that was used as a backdrop for a few interviews.
Again I think its still owned buy McLaren.
My Grandmother used to live at 63 Albert Drive and when I was little I used to wander along and see if I could see anything. Never could of course! The only Mclaren apart from the one hanging in the window I ever saw was one day we were on our way to see my grandmother and a grey F1 passed us near the bridge over the canal (this was when you only ever saw them on TV!!). I couldnt believe I had actually seen one! My whole family were completly underwhealmed! I can remember it like it was yesterday. I think I was smiling all the way home to Gloucester!
On a slightly seperate note, there is a showcar in the window of a Vodafone store near oxford circus (walk towards Marble Arch and its on the left, cant remember if its before or after bond street station.) its obviously a show car but impressive none the less. I think its a 2008 model but the stickers have been changed and simplified aero and its sitting on Pirelli's.

It's not dust free, thats why there's dust sheets all over everything 
These are the cars you see running at events like Goodwood so you get to see them all the time. A lot of them are engineless static display cars too.
