If you want a certificate, can't help, if you want someone to tell you if its a dog, PM me. If you have the build number, getting info on it is not difficult.

I have HPI'd it, and I'm happy enough with the seller. I don't need a written report, just someone who knows what they are doing to have a look?

This is the car, #169

Hallmark BMW are pretty good, they might do it - know their stuff about BMW, not sure about Alpina.

It needs all four brake discs and pads replacing, it had a slight hesitation on pick-up.

I would imagine that the brakes are simular to the Z4M, and looking on ECP that would be about £600 for the parts.

Tom said 11k would be a good price, but the owner doesn't want to deal at that!

I may walk away completely and plough the money into my C2 2.7 convertible?

11K? Wow.Thought it was cheap already.

Spend a grand on it and it's all good?

I don't think that 12k was an unrealistic price for the car, but, it needs maybe 1k's worth of work!

Although the tyres are new, they are a cheaper brand than should be fitted, but you would live with that!

He has relisted it at £12995. I'm in half a mind at 11.5k?.... but, I don't need this car, I would be buying it because I have always liked them, and I can afford it! I do have my C2 2.7 though, which I don't think I will ever sell. It needs some work, but is over all a very good example.

It had been maintained on a budget, a low one. It was basically a sound car, but as Rod says needs about 1k spent on it.
I know the Avons it was fitted with are pretty crap, and a 3.4s handles like a rollerskate...on the right tyres. It was the fluff at very tiny throttle openings that concerned me, it may be something as silly as being fitted with the wrong plugs, or throttle body problems, but there was something i would like to have a bit of reserve for. Having said that, the fella selling it is a genuine bloke, and made no attempt to hide anything.
I would put 11k of my own money in it after thinking about it, no more though, and that would be after Sytner Notts giving me the background on it, the last seller was Munich Legends.

Munich Ledgends???? I hear storys about them!

The throttle problem could possibly be very expensive to diagnose!

What about an M3 cab?smile

Looks to be good value?
