Well it's about 5am and I am just about to set off on a 4.5 hour journey to the fest and boy is it raining eek

It normally snows and rains here when its fair everywhere else so I am hoping for good weather in about 20 miles, doesn't look good though. What a bloody shame after a cracking week.
If I took the roof off now I would need a snorkel to breath.

Roof on--------check

No doubt I'll be meeting people with hangovers when I get there

Well it's 12.30 here and still coming down in Stair rods - no improvement in th enext hour and it looks like I'm out ( It's 2 hours drive)

2011 could be BBWFWO ( Big Bad Wedge Fest Wash Out) What a shame for everyone who works so hard to make it a great event. Perhaps we should do it abroad in 2012

I was there in spirit, but decided that I'd feel totally gutted if attending without a Wedge. frown

On Friday I was at the TVR Challenge meet at Donington though, and a good entry of Wedges there.smile

Here's our own TVRLeigh (on the left), and next to him the young friend of mine who kindly transported me there in his S2.
Behind them is Danny Winstanley's Sag'.

In the background you can see Dave Chant's ('NTEL') class-winning Wedge.

Dave's meaty Wedge....for sale ! lick

Yes, and Dave won the class again on Friday.

260bhp, and seems very reliable too.

Being replaced by a RV8 Tuscan racer. lick

What a crying shame
Four of us left Herts at 8.30am arrived in terrible conditions at 10.30, all clear at 12 noon. (the scots, cumbrians hartlepoolers and essex boys had hours and hours to come)

Out of respect for the guys who worked so hard to organise this great event that we didn't look out the window till it cleared and call it a washout !!

People not showing up cos of the rain is what was a crying shame !!
