CAMS TIMING AND COILS CONNECTION HELP !!! TVR AJP 4.5

Cam Timing.
I not aware or could not find myself cam timing figures in the traditional sense ie max lift at 108degress ect. All the AJP manuals will tell you to time the cams using valve lift or overlap. It is esy to do and is clearly decsribed in the AJP build manual and there are threads on here that cover the cam timing operation.
if you canott locate this proceedure I will fax / scan you a copy from the build manual.
Coil Packs
The coil pack and injectors are easy, the passenger side loom has the air temp sensor going to the front of the engine bay the drivers side injector loom does not. The front coil pack is connected to the passenger side bamk and the rear coil pack to the drivers side.
You will need to locate the TVR laptop diagnostic program to help set up the engine or you will be working in the dark.
A couple of important points, Try and pre lube the engine before you turn it over you can pressure fill the main gallery via the oil sender with a pump or fence pesticide sprayer . using the starter to crank and fill the gallery is not a goog idead as the starter does not provide enough speed to reliably pick up the oil and fill the galleries before some damage could occur.
I would also test the engine for water leaks before you install it, fit the coolant hoses block off the ends and fill the engine with water...the pressurize using a pump and check for leaks.
It is a little bit of extra work but it can save a huge amount of heart ache later.
