Porsche 935/78 Moby Dick 1:24 Tamiya G.B
Discussion
This is going to be a work in progress and completed build thread in one as I didn't get around to posting while I was building it. I won this model on Ebay for £13.50 which was a bargain as it retails for £20 - £25 usually. I must apologise for the quality of the pictures as they are from my phone. I need to remember to take proper pictures during my builds, not just grab the phone when I remember I am supposed to be taking pictures.

It was the usual excellent quality kit that you expect from Tamiya

Decals printed by Cartograf

It was built completely stock out of the box except for the harness. The photos don't do it justice as the paint quality looks very shoddy in the pictures but doesn't look bad in the flesh.

It was originally released as a motorised version so has working axles. This version has a more detailed interior but only moulded engine detail.

A couple of coats of Halfords appliance gloss white.

There was a small run just behind the door but his can't be seen under the decals so I left it

Interior with PE harness, it looks a bit untidy in the pictures but you can't see the interior very well through the windows on the finished model.

Finished model see if you can spot the deliberate mistake with the decals. I managed to put one on upside down with the adhesive side on top. It stuck okay and doesn't stand out too much.

Thanks for looking, hopefully we can have some more car/bike based group builds in the future.
