my thumbs hurt!

Ok is it just me or does anybody else suffer from a really bad muscle pain at the bottom of the thumb especially on the left hand (and im not being rude before any smart aleck chirps up) I ve got a chim 5ltr no power steering, but do not find it too heavy and do not seem to be holdong the wheel a great deal tighter than in my other car, but get bad pains after about 30 minutes of driving , any ideas or cures or am I on my own with this one. I know the saying "where theres pleasure theres pain, but this is ridiculous!!

A couple of questions...
Are you right or left handed? If you're left handed, then perhaps it is not due to driving the TVR, but some form of RSI (repetitive strain injury) from another source - i.e. work!
You may also be gripping the wheel a bit tighter than you think.
Another question - are you middle-aged? (I mean no offence!) but I get a similar pain in my right thumb...and in my shoulder...and in my knee...!

no im left handed . only seem to get ache after driving tvr and cant think of anything else that would cause it?

Seems to me that your hanging on for grim death, perhaps the car is to much for you and you need to lower the power to a ford V6 2.9 S2 and i happen to know a owner of one who would do you a straight swap.
