TVR's best kept secret

Having owned two TVR's over the past few years, (A Tuscan 1, with a few Mk2 mods, followed by a 4.5 Cerb) I alsmost left the fold due to numerous electrical gremlins and poor build quality. But I decided to give the marque one more try when I came accross a really clean low mileage Tamora.
What a revelation it has turned out to be. By far the best handling of the three and admittedly not as stunning looking as the Tuscan, it is much nicer to drive. The slightly smaller engine may not produce as much power but it seems to be very free revving and I'm sure it would stay with either of the others on a sprited cross country run.
If you've never driven one, I suggest you try it at the earliest opportunity.

I agree.
Test drove a Tamora after the death of my Mk1 Tuscan. It felt realy planted and quick.
Ended up with a Mk2 Tuscan convertible due to boot space and Wife pestering that I get another Tuscan.

Not a secret, they are great cars and I have seen some beautiful paint jobs on them to match their in my opinion modern shape.

Tamora's are not ugly as such either, it's just the rear looks a bit weird. I always wondered whether it would look better if some fibreglass boffins moulded some round Lotus Exige rear LED lights into it....

Anyway, agree with as posted above, Tamora's are a sweet drive

Nothing wrong with it's rear end............ Though to be fair I've always been a fan of a rounder arse :-)

I have no idea why and my apologies to anyone I may offend but just like the baby Astons the Tam has always looked like a 'ladies' car to me.

It just seems odd when you see a bloke driving it. No idea why and it's probably just me but it seems a very feminine car.

Personally, I see nothing wrong in that, quite the opposite. Just don't want to offend any manly owners.

Next to the bad boy cerb and the pretty boy Tuscan, the Tamora never really fitted in, and next to them it did look a little effeminate, but certainly not in a hair dresser cockster type way. A great car, just a bit smaller than other Tivs.

I would never dream of insinuating that anyone sitting in one would look like a hairdresser, just that it has the look of a car for a lady driver, like the baby Aston does.

To me it's the diffuser, exhausts that seem to clutter up the rear end. Still nice cars though.

The only thing negative I can say about the Tamora is the headlights. It should have had the T350 units. No idea why TVR didn't do this when they updated the front. I'm still pondering whether to do this mod to mine.

The front is fine.

The back reminds me of something with its guts hanging out. Far too much going on there.

Regardless of the looks, and I take your point, I more see it as a car that does what you want a sports car to do, which I think is the OPs suggestion. It certainly doesn't get the attention that my old Cerb used to but the drive is a world apart (Can't speak for the S6 Cerb though as mine was a 4.2).

I was dead set on a T350 until I saw a Tam in black with black wheels, imo makes all the difference, never looked back.
