I have tried one but it has left little scuff marks on the paint work which i am
polishing off like made!! any ideas or experance of different make to buy, it must be good as my Chim is worth it..
Thanks

Despite me expecting to need to spend quite a lot, I was recommended the halfords advanced all seasons outdoor cover for my Chim.
I was sceptical at first, but a friend of mine uses one for his 997 cab and it's really not bad at all
I think it was £65 ish and because of the length of the chim I needed a medium size which is a little baggy around the bonnet and boot, so I use a couple of extra straps to stop it flapping around and potentially marking the paint.
It's kept the car nice and dry on even the wettest of nights this summer (car goes in garage over winter) and it claims to be breathable to let trapped moisture out. It's nice and soft of the inside, so shouldn't cause any marking when you're pulling it over and goes on pretty easy
I'm sure it's not perhaps as good as some of the specially tailored Chim covers, but it's also not £400
IMHO it's a 9/10 considering value
Hope this helps
Cheers
Graeme

hamilton classics moltex cover. It has a soft liner so it doesnt scratch the paintwork. Mines lived under one for 5 years now. I do have scratches and scuffs, but they are from the kids bashing it with their bikes grrr

How about going for a cover that just covers the hood/glass area? then you'll get weather protection for the interior without the worries of scratching your paint.

I have the Hamilton Classics cover and it is very good. The scratching could be due to dirt on the car. If the car is dirty, I leave the cover off or use my Leven hood cover.

Another vote for the Hamilton Classic here. When putting it on and removing it, I "fold it off" and "unfold it on", if you see what I mean - rather than dragging it across the paintwork.

As a matter of interest, has anyone ever tried dry-cleaning their Hamilton cover when the inner fleecy bit gets grubby? I tried emailing them and they said they've never tried it.

I asked Hamilton about washing the cover in a machine and they advised not to spin it but the washing should be ok. Haven't tried it yet though!
