I've had my Panny P50V20B for a little over a year now and it still wins as a great TV, but I was really hoping that there would have been some firmware updates on the horizon which would give iplayer or other updates to the Vieracast system.

I am currently running 2.702, the TV update says this is the latest out there, and there is nothing on the panasonic support site at all in terms of drivers.

Does anyone have any info as to if there will be any updates at all? Seems mad to have the functionality available but Panasonic choose not to exploit it.

Cheers,

.Mark

I posted earlier this year about firmware updates when my Panasonic had one, someone posted a really useful website showing when they are due and what they contain.
Don't have time to search for it at the moment but it's out there somewhere smile

Thanks. Whilst the PH forum search did not find anything, google was my friend....

That's the one. But like you I don't really know what it tells me, so perhaps not so useful after all.

I have a similar Panny - P50G20B.

Like you, I have looked for the latest software version (hoping to get iplayer added).

Mine reports the software version on it as 2.703 so there is a later version (this was on it as delivered).

However, if I try the software update menu (over ethernet), it says that the latest version available is 2.702 like yours.....

I get the impression from googling that Panasonic are pretty unresponsive and are not going to provide updates whatever may have been promised in the past.
