I think this vid deserves a wider viewing out of respect to those on the other side of the world who have suffered so much.

It's not a violent vid, but it's really not nice...

Watching videos similar to that, there are always people doing something that just makes you think "what the fk are you doing!?!"
Example would be the fella closing his car door, but from other videos I saw someone try to swim across the debris filled torrent of water, and some other people who thought a ground floor building was an excellent place to hide

Hope I'd have more sense in that situation...

Thanks OP, would never have found that original thread.

Shocking stuff, staying in your car would be the safest bet, those cars bumping together would some some damage to you if you were stuck in between, same with large pallets, branches etc. Wouldn't take much to get tugged under the water.
