The E55K is great value for money, I have stated this in past enquires of this nature, I would reiterate, that I,d recommend you purchase one, with a full MBSH, and very much am extended tier 1 warrenty, expensive, but you will know about it should anything go wrong with your car, I have first hand experience of engine failure, but warrenty put it right. This said the engine and transmission are well thought to be very strong, so its just getting the right car. All the best with your search

Sorry really not knowlegable enough for that question, but from my research its rare to find a W211 E55 without MBSH, everyone wants MBSH with this type of car, so hopefully you,ll find the right one for you. I would tell you, the full tier 1 warrenty is aprox £1100, although you can take cgeaper options with access etc, so it can be made affordable ish, so it can be awefully expensive, but should your car go wrong, I saw the bill for my new engine it was £23K plus, my car could have been on the way to the scrape yard if no warrenty. This said, they are fantastic cars, and great value for money if you can live with the running costs. Best of luck with your search.

Warranty is essential on these uber motors, tier 1 if possible, full details here :

Give them a bell with the reg no of the car and they will advise cost of warranty, I have found them very helpful on the phone.

If the car is not currently in warranty, you may need to get an inspection done prior to warranty which you will have to pay for and any "faults" rectified prior to commencing warranty tier 1 cover.
