suggestions for mountain bike
Discussion
Hi chaps
After an impact with a tree on my Kona last year
I managed to kill the bike and break myself at the same time....

I'm just about to buy a new bike (around £700 area)
The 2011 Cube Attention looks rather nice
Just looking for a light weight bike i can take on a few trails.
Any others worth a shout?
Vitus Bikes Nucleus 0.2 is another...just slightly lost.
I want to be sure i'm making the right choice.
Any suggestions would be appreciated

Have a look at the KHS Alite 2000. At £799 it's a bit above the price you mention but is extremelly well specced, light (26lbs, I think) and came out top in a recent MBR mag multi test. My wife had a good look at one recently and was very impressed but decided to spend even more money.
My mate bought a Cube on CTW, obviously a bit over your budget but my god it felt light with very impressive spec for the money. So much so I followed his lead and bought a German bike as well but a Ghost.
Not ridden a Ghost hardtail but very inpressed with my full sus so I'd be inclined to recommend them if they do one in your price range.

Have a look at Canyon's range of bikes.
Their Yellowstone range seems to offer the same brilliant value for money regarding high spec components as their full sus range does- definately considering their Nerve AM as my next trail bike.
Think prices start about £600 but you do get what looks like a fab bike even for the basic model.
They ship directly from the factory in Germany hence the low prices but theres £50 delivery on top of that.

The local cycles UK has their stock 2011 Marins on offer at the moment. Evans have some good deals on too like this Felt http://www.evanscycles.com/products/felt/q720-2011...

LOLed at this. I imagined your accident as falling down a 1:1 head over heels, bits flying off in all directions, whilst you're on fire.

Not to mention the face full of leaves.
Nothing like ending up arse over head in a bush!
Found another Marin Palisades Trail for £699....really tempting.
