I'll be there:
- Pennard Home Ground (AFAIK)
- Silver Tent (very silver, as I'm putting a couple of space blankets over it to stop it baking in the day)
- PH Flag on a 6M pole (as soon as Ted gets them in, which is any day now)
- Strobe on top of the pole as well, for drunken night-time location!

Got just about everything ready to go, it's my first time and I'm getting overexcited

gutted. no ticket this year.
first time i won't be attending for about 5 years.
i do hope you guys have a good time, but at the same time i'm hoping for rain - sorry, i know it sounds bitter, but i just want to see demand drop off a bit.
the character of the event has changed quite a bit over the years, a lot for the good, IMO, but obviously demand is so high now....
will hopefully be there next year. making do with the big chill this year.

all the best.

Rolf rocks! He caused the biggest pedestrian traffic jam I've ever been stuck in when they put him on the titchy little stage near Avalon in 2000! Took over an hour to get a few hundred metres.

Double the amount of people on site that should have been there apparently.

Still, the chems were good...

No.

Thankfully, the lineup hasn't impressed me one iota. Orbital's last gig would have been worth it, but Sunday night on the "Other" stage??? C'mon! They should be Pyramid last thing on Friday or Saturday night.

Orbital's set in 2002 was a huge disapointment to me. The sound, half a mile from the Other Stage (as close as I could get) was pathetic. I've heard louder music from a Vauxhall Nova.

Plotloss - that's very kind. a mate rang me before the deadline, to offer me a ticket, but i couldn't secure one for my g/f. big chill booked, etc.
if a couple of tickets do come up though i'm deffo in the market - am not looking forward to hearing all the coverage without being there
mail me through my profile if owt comes of it. thanks.

Bonce - you're bang on about the last orbital gig - quiet.
i was converted to orbital at one of their performances a couple of years previous (?), having been plied with stella and tequila - one of the best gigs i've ever been too, immediately after the chemical brothers at the pyramid stage - what a night!

And I'm willing to bet that this year's Orbital set will be even more overcrowded and equally quiet. The thing with Orbital is that it simply *has* to be very very loud indeed to appreciate. You have to be able to feel the bass whether you're at home or in a Somerset field. And frankly, I don't think the PA on the Other stage can cut the mustard.

If they were able to borrow Leftfield's rig, it might be another matter....

2000

Playing Doctor Who into Chime when the site fireworks were going off and that enormous white float thing made its way through the crowd.

Mitsi's were in favour too, which was nice...

Still remains to be the best gig of my life.

The Hartnolls apparently have a bit of a special arrangement with Emily Eavis. Its their last gig at their favourite venue. Hopefully the amps will be at 11...
