Missed the last DVLA auction

I annoyingly missed the last DVLA auction for reg plates and there was one I wanted and it was not sold. Is there any way of just buying it from them for the reserve price? I dont want to wait until the next auction.

Am so annoyed with myself for forgetting.

Shirley not - that would be way too sensible thing for DVLA to allow me to do surely!
I thought I would ask before engaging in a long and fruitless conversation with the DVLA...

If you're on their email list they'll send a list of all unsold plates that you can buy for the reserve price.

Just phoned up and sadly I have to wait until later in the year for it next to come up.
There goes my present idea for this Saturday then.
