Monthly fuel bills?

Just been going thorugh the online statement, and fag packet maths tells me that we spent £447 on fuel in one calendar month between a 1.6 Laguna and an Octavia VRS. Jesus. That's obscene. Ok, we went to a gig (full tank) and been on holiday twice (full tank each time) but that just seems ridiculous considering my monthly commute is 550 miles, and the mrs is 600 a month.

The Nissan erm it all depends on if I actually use it or not, but maybe a couple of tanks a month so £120-£150?

I took a brand new diesel Ford Galaxy to Glasgow and back last weekend. Was approximately a 700 mile trip. Did a little driving around whilst there and did a steady speed there and back with no spanking to speak of and it cost me £100 in diesel.

Then the weekend just gone I drove to my parents on the east coast. Took the Corrado VR6 - pretty much used a tank of fuel getting there and back (350 miles) - that was £75.

So I've sunk nearly £200 doing a little over a thousand miles in the space of two weekends. Beans on toast for the rest of the month I think!

Anywhere between £250 and £600 a month for me depending on where I've had to go for work.

I mean - that's good economy I suppose, but still £100 just to do 700 miles (approx 44MPG) is a bit eye watering!

I spend about £180 a month.

Cost me £68 to fill my little clio today at £1.43 I think and it wasn't even empty.

£68 in a Clio with room to spare!

Over the last year I averaged £593 per month.

I have a fuel card so it makes no difference to me-costs me about £80 a month in tax.

I spend about the same commuting in the m...... which makes it all qualify as "fun driving" in my book.

I haven't worked it out since taking up a new job in Dudley, I'm guessing commuting from Stoke to there in a 328i is going to cost aroun £100 a week, so will probably be around £450. I'm sure I could get this down if I bought a depressing little snotbox that sounds like a skeleton wking in a biscuit tin, but I'd rather enjoy my time in the car and turn up refreshed.

Her 206 is £80 a month. Only used for commuting.

My ST maybe £100. I have a smaller commute but we use mine when we go out.

Mine are maybe £2-300 a month. Depends on how much i use the Datsun.

Thats just for fun, visiting friends, not commuting.

£200 a month tops in my ST24, which is going this week to be replaced by a mk3 TDCI Ghia X (free!) so i imagine that will be...no different.

The fleet probably bills me for about £500 / mth at the moment.

More in the summer if there are track days involved (but I account for that outside of standard bills in an area marked "leisure").

I do around 450 miles a month and in the RX-8 it was costing me around £220.

The 350Z does the same in a far more reasonable £125.

Just brimmed the elise. When I first got it the cost of filling it (38lts plus some) was about 38.00. It is now 50.01 to fill it.

In total I am now using anywhere between 200 - 300 per month in petrol.

I spend more on beer than I do petrol though.
