Day out Yorkshire Dales and Coast 30th July

Hi everyone, I hoping to arrange a drive out with other like minded high performance pistonheads around the Dales and Coast.

Starting point is Macdonalds, Portrack Lane, Stockton.
Calling at Helmsley, Malton (arranged a look around Specialist cars of Malton), Scarborough Seafront for lunch and maybe an icecream, Whitby, Redcar, finishing back at Stockton.

People can join and leave wherever it`s best for them although if you want to look round Specialist cars it would be best to meet up at least by Helmsley.

All are welcome.

Not sure if its going to happen? but i came over the NY moors last saturday and the police were out with there new camera van:-( waiting at the bottom of the long straight just by the Hole of Horcum, i was stuck behind a van doing 50 so all ok, just thought what could have been though ;-)

Time of day is critical though. Evenings are usually clear or first thing. Bank holiday weekend and we get a few unmarked cars roaming the TT and Blakey. A few years back it was the Silver STi with gold wheels.

Seems the bib are stepping up on their speed offensive. I suppose with all the cut backs one parked van can make a few shillings rather than a fuel burning patrol car.

A new area might be looked at if the bib are so keen on slowing cars down on open safe roads. I have a few ideas but will have to recce them first.

Did part of this convoy traverse the Buttercrambe to Malton Road between about 09:30 and 10:00 yesterday? I've posted up in the spotted thread...

I spotted that van in a lay by near Goathland last weekend! I was heading towards Whitby.

Luckily had just finished some big overtakes so was back at cruising speed (60)

Will be more careful next time
