Droopy door mirror

Hi all and help please! My drivers door mirror on my 99 Chim has gone all loose and droopy (i have tried VIAGRA but it still is droopy) the whole mirror body will not stay as i set it but just faces down . I bet it is a door liner removal job, if so hqw can i get the door liner off?

No need to remove the door card, the mirror just screws into a threaded boss in the door. Gently unscrew the mirror till it comes off, be careful of the cable, clean the thread, use locktite and screw back in. Do the final turn whilst sat in the car to get adjustment right.

thanks that sounds easier that i thought. Does the wire get twisted too much or is it fine?

It was ok on mine, just leave the twist so it uncoils again when you scew it back in.
