Championship starts Sunday 28th August and runs to 11th December.

Same rules as Champ 2 except as below:

New Rules:

2 races per week.

1 “feature” race with minimum distance of 80 miles
1 “sprint” race with minimum distance of 20 miles

Points awarded the same for each race.

10 min qualifying session (or one quick lap of ring)

Each of the 16 competitors picks a 2 cars and track combo for each week of the championship. Any car and any track allowed including rally stages providing everyone can buy or has the car in question. No value limit on 1st choice cars. PLEASE NOTE: track selected must have a pit lane!

Where a category as been selected – eg Jap touring cars, you can opt to use the entire selection. Competitors must confirm which car they will use to ensure they conform to the selected combo. This must be by the Friday before the race.
Back up choice of 2 cars, with a maximum value of 1 million.

During the championship a track cannot be repeated more than three times. I dont want this turning into a one track championship.

Cars and track combo announced at least one week in advance and to include weight, power and tyre choice for said car or PP limit. This will allow team mates to decide which car they run.

New Team Element:
All competitors to split into teams of two, so 8 teams.
Each team have to run both cars from combo choices each week.
Competitors points averaged out from previous championship, lowest average gets 1st pick of team mate.

Reserve drivers will fill in for missing team mates.

Each team to provide team name and competition colour, where allowed, to FDDRL and FIA by 21st August.

As before 16 weeks is a fairly long run so will drop 3 worst scores – this will allow for times where people can’t make it.

Penalty system will be OFF to avoid ghosting – replays will be reviewed and points deducted and/or black flag for corner cutting, ramming people off road etc etc.

However, for Fuji you know why, and for other tracks where its easy to cut or run wide and gain time the penalty system will be used but on weak.

Damage still to be on FULL so we will all have to drive properly!

We have all had enough practice now so any cack driving will result in punishment by the FDDRL. You have be duly advised!!

NO driver aid (other than ABS) allowed - regardless of car!

False Starts will be on!

No weaving on straights only allowed to move once!

Grip levels will be set to real, regardless of weather, so think carefully about it. Also as real setting is applied you cant keep your foot in on the grass! (well you can but its not advisable).

Qualifying:
Room opens any time before 9pm, if set up in advance track to be set to different track, any time set before pit lane opens for qualifying will be discounted.
Pit lane opens at 9.00pm (strictly) and runs until 9.10. (If track more than 10 miles in length is used, qualifying will be 1 flying lap, but not set before pit lane opens).
Race automatically starts at 9.10. ** The only exceptions will be for muliple disconnections but this will be MY call!

In addition if anyone starts the race early by mistake there will be a penatly of -1 point.
Race 2 will be reverse grid.

NO GOING TO TRACK BEWTEEN RACES UNTIL RACE DIRECTION SAY SO.

If you add each teams average points together then we are all pretty evenly matched, Goodwood is still ahead but only by a smidge. Richy will be second once he gets a teammate and G and I are third. This season will be a close one I think!

The sprint race in my combo might be interesting Especially with the reverse grid!! I predict utter carnage...

One thing I have forgotten above.

Running order on race weekends:

This will be by team order. Team 1 will be 1st week Team 2 2nd etc Week 9 back to Team 1.

So as well as your combos, team name and colour you also need to confirm to me which team member's combo will run 1st.

Once all the info is in I will publish the table with all the combos added and for which week.

You should all be able to then source the cars in plenty of time for each race.
