Where to buy my winter tyres?

Have got to get new front tyres for my daily hack(1999 Seat Toledo TDi) and thought I would spend a little extra and fit winter tyres all round. Probably going for Dunlop Wintersport 3d as German tyre tests rate them. Any recommendations on where to get them?
I live near Bristol and could get them delivered through Mytyres and fitted by my local VW specialist for £10/tyre. Forgot to add that will be looking to get them in the next couple of months. Does raise the question of running winters all year round though. A recent article in CAR mag had a piece on them and the guy from Continental said if it was a choice between winter or summer all year round they woud recommend winter's. As I only intend running the car for another two years the possible increase in tyre wear on winters 'off season' wouldn't be much of an issue.
Why not just go for all year/season tyres?
Let's be honest, we live in Britain, it's probably the best choice. Winter tyres are largely a waste of money (especially in Bristol) and summer tyres are (at best) optimistic.

I would throughly recommend Quatrac 3's (all season) - have had some on our MPV since last summer and they're wearing well. However if you can wait a few more weeks before fitting then you'll probably get better prices and choice - winter and all-season tyres will be shipping in the next few weeks from what I've been told.
I've used Camskill and Clickontyres for mail order before - both were extremely helpful. I've also used Event mobile fitters for a set of tyres on the Volvo and they were equally good. However you'll struggle to get competitive quotes until this year's production actually arrives in the UK - I've been quoted August 1st onwards by one supplier for Vredesteins so I'd expect similar for other brands / suppliers.

k me, it comes earlier every year. I have thought about all season tyres. The Goodyear Vector seems to come out well in tyre tests. Haven't compared prices yet. The Dunlop winters on Mytyres are £58 so will see what price all seasons are.
I do have to drive in the hills where the snow can be heavy and at night when temperatures are low so its trying to find the right balance. Would all seasons be too much of a compromise in those conditions as I dont hoon it around would winters be much of a compromise in summer?

In my experience, winter tyres just won't last if they're used all summer. A set of Bridgestone Blizzaks on my Legacy made it to mid-April before they were visibly melting.
The set of Vredestein summer tyres that replaced them have lasted two years now (and made it through two snowy Welsh winters without issues).

I got my Goodyear Ultragrip 7+s from Mytyres. They are a German company. Bit of a faff to pay as they required proof of address (I emailed them a bill of some description), but otherwise great.
A guy at the local independent BMW garage actually guessed that I had bought from them last time the car was in there - he said that mytyres was basically cheaper for winter tyres than he could get from trade, at the time.
Regarding summer & winter tyres not being worth it: perhaps they aren't. My girlfriend wasn't going to get in my car without winter wheels on (its a requirement where she's from), though, so I didn't have much choice unless separation was on the cards.

I buy my tyres from the German (parent company) of mytyres.co.uk and have had no issues with them whatsoever. I save a FORTUNE buying from them and having them delivered to Luxembourg for €3.50/tyre, usually a next day delivery too.
However, their stocks improve late September ready for many continental countries' requirement to switch to winter tyres from October or so.

The Avon Ice Touring ST tyres on my 528i haven't really worn excessively since fitment last October (say, 4000 miles).The set of Vredestein summer tyres that replaced them have lasted two years now (and made it through two snowy Welsh winters without issues).
ETA: revised mileage downwards, on reflection. Done lots of miles this year, but most of it in company veerhickles.

I would agree with this - I've had a set of Vredestein Quatrac 3 on the Doblo for a while. They are quiet and soft-riding in the summer and preformed nearly as well as full winters in the snow and ice.I've used Camskill and Clickontyres for mail order before - both were extremely helpful. I'm still running my winters. And they're proper Nordic snow/ice tyres, not the poncy high performance ones. 
I haven't died, I haven't skidded off the road, and my tyres haven't melted, even doing 250 miles in one run on a 25C day.
I'd happily run something like a Dunlop WinterSport 3D all year. I'm reasonably happy running the current tyres, Dunlop Graspic DS3.
