Perhaps I don't know much about cars either but I don't ever remember seeing a Lotus with a front end like that. Rather off topic , I was at the Thames Traditional Boat Show at Henley on Saturday and came across a 1960's built aluminium speed boatwith 1500 lotus twin cam engine !
The boats were deisigned to to take a standard Ford 1500 unit but the hull of this particular craft had been damaged and bought by a guy who could repair it , during this time a friends son had been given a Lotus Cortina as a birthday present and within 2 days had rolled it, the engine was acquired and hey presto there it is in this rather nice looking boat, with not a lot of hours on it and only used up to 4000rpm on odd occasions.
In view of what prices are being looked at here how much is the engine worth ?

Ali hull sounds like an ALbatros now quite rare, a few get shown at the Bromley Pageant every year.
