E90 330d oil change cost
Discussion
Oh well sadly I need to have an oil change some 2,300 miles to go. As such need to book up and get it done.
So what price should I be expecting from a main dealer? In addition the "filters" are seperate and need doing in Jan. Is it worth doing them together for a cheaper cost?
Sadly car would need to go in during Jan anyway for it's annual mot so I could delay those items until then as per the CBServicing.

Not sure I understand the dilemma about the microfilters & MOT - they both need done in the same month.
If you were talking about extending the oil life until January too, then you've two options.
One is to take a sample and have an oil analysis done (£30) which will give you an idea how much reserve capacity remains (if any) to neutralise the combustion byproducts, fuel dilution, etc.
The other is to buy one of the extraction pump units, and remove half the oil.
Refill with new, then change it and the oil filter in January, and have them reset on the iDrive.
Alternatively, get it done in 2K miles at an independent who'll reset the iDrive, assuming you're using the franchise dealer in January.

I suspect as the filters are maintenance, not MOT related, they'll be charged at normal rate.
Easy way to find out though, ask them!
Alternatively, buy them, learn how to fit them yourself, ask if they'll reset the iDrive while they're doing the Stat Inspection (assuming the E90 has that, like the E65).

Oil change and new oil filters at an indy for my e90 330d was £164,
Is it the micro filter that needs replacing? If so, could purchase one of these from eBay and try fitting it yourself, apparently pretty straight forward to do,
Well just phoned the main dealer and an oil service is £181.44Is it the micro filter that needs replacing? If so, could purchase one of these from eBay and try fitting it yourself, apparently pretty straight forward to do,
If I add in Micro filter change too it is £221
Basically a saving of £24 on the micro filter - but clearly its being changed sooner than planned.
If its showing 2,300 miles now realistically whats the lowest you would leave it go before getting it changed?

If the indicator showed 2,300 miles, I'd do it in 2,300 miles time.If I add in Micro filter change too it is £221

The price sounds about right for a franchised dealer. I paid £160-ish for an oil change on my 320d, and the sump capacity of the x30d is probably a bit bigger than mine.
The prices are scandalous, considering the amount of work involved. By the time my next oil change service is due, my car will be out of warranty and I'll go to an BMW indie instead.
