The odds on this happening have shortened to 16/1.

It's a possibility he will go - although what will be achieved by such an event is not obvious.

really? given the fact he has just been quite open about coulson, and said what he had already announced he would say should coulson be involved in any way, then he ripped milliband to shreds, so why on earth should he resign?

Tory grandees are apparently comfortable in his brilliant U-turn-ability.

I don't understand why people think he would, or even should, resign.

No matter how much a certain slice of the political spectrum is trying to spin it as guilt by association, the only thing he is guilty of is poor judgment in hiring an employee.

Its a sorry state of affairs if he does but if he feels the need to resign over this then he hasn't the back bone to run the country after all.

My biggest fear is the colaition collapses and that silly arse Miliband ends up in power - i really cant think of anything worse (apart from Winky back at the helm)

i completely agree. as a brit abroad i find it quite silly how much coverage this is getting. the NOTW thing i understand, but trying to topple the PM with this is baffling. shows how weak millipede is if this is all the ammo he has.

It will be a feckin' disaster if the coalition collapses over this and Labour end up in power - amazing how short peoples memories are.

Agreed really

It seems to have reached the hysteria levels of the Salem witch trials. He employed someone in league with the devil (Murdoch) so must also be burned at the stake.

Channel 4 News were interviewing that odious bint Yvette Cooper last night. Jon Snow asked her about the police chief inquiry - specifically about the police chief inquiry, nothing more. I played a little game with the wife as to how long it would take her to try and link it back to Coulson, and consequently onto Dave.

Eight seconds.

This isn't a snipe at Labour per se - they all do it. Although I would detest the sight of Cooper no matter what colour she wore. But it gave the impression of clutching at straws, and really that is all which political opponents of the Government have been doing for the last few weeks.

Just as an example of the hysteria surrounding attempts to bring Cameron into the scandal.

Cameron releases a list of meetings with senior media executives which was disclosed last week, which did not include dates (per the Telepgraph)

It emerges that two of his meetings with Brooks were only five days apart. Response from Labour MP 'It is outrageous that this has not been made public before. There is clearly an attempt to cover up and the question is why' (John Mann)

I think, honestly, given the choice of either Milibrain or Brown, I'd rather have Mcfkwit back.
But I would hope neither will happen for a while. Or we really are double(dip)ducked.

Cameron is not going anywhere. Previous PM's have made worse decisions and got away with it. Coulson clearly is a bit of a tit, but it seems to me that there is a bit of confusion on the Met Police involvement here.

On one side, the Met Police said there was no case to call (on the original hacking thing) so Coulson was in able to take up the position. Yet it seems that someone in the Tory party told the Met Police to back off on Coulson.....

Someone, somewhere is telling porkies.... the facts dont add. And I dont believe that Cameron is necessarily in the wrong here.
