Camera software update help

Hi, I hope someone can help!

I have a Pentax K100D digital SLR, which sadly won't recognise SDHC memory cards. I've done a little research and apparently there's a software update that enables the use of these cards.

I've found the update here:

But to be blunt, I'm useless with computers and electronics, so I haven't a clue how to use/install the update!

I have a USB to camera cable, and an SD card reader if they're of any use to connect the camera to the laptop?!

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I have an 8GB SDHC card that would be very handy to be able to use. Anyone able to offer an idiots step-by-step guide?

Never done it on a Pentax but the canon upgrade had me copying the firmware image onto (a compatible) SD card and then putting it into the camera.

The website implies you add the firmware file to the SD card then follow on camera instructions detailed in the readme.txt file in the download.

Did you look in there?
