Hypothetical question.

If hypothetically somebody driving, I don't know, plucked from the air an early 2007 Alfa Romeo 159 1.9JDTm, for arguments sake... had just discovered a hypothetical hump-back bridge which if you were to hit at say, a hypothetical speed of aprox 60/70 mph, resulted in them being hypothetically airborne briefly, but then discovered when they got home that there was a whine coming from the front wheels when reversing at low speeds, what would most likely, hypothetically you understand, be causing the whine?

Answers on a hypothetical post card...

wheel bearings would be a good place to start looking.

Cheers Stu.

ETA: What should I be looking for, anything specific?

A whine when reversing is usually from the gearbox, as most reverse gears are straight cut. Are you sure it's from the wheels?
