Astra 2.0DTi jerking at part throttle - Any idea?
Discussion
Hi all,
My daily driver is a 2004 Astravan Sport 2.0DTi 16v, with around 100k on the clock.
It's been absolutely perfect up until a few months ago when I noticed it starting to hesitate slightly and be slightly jerky when on very light throttle at the 20-35mph speed.
A month ago it had a routine service including oil change, glow plugs, leak off pipes, air filter, oil filter, fuel filter, but the hesitation is still there.
I can't think what it might be as it seems bang on the rest of the time. If you give it any more than very light throttle it pulls like a train, the turbo spools up quickly and smoothly and boosts really well, it never uses any oil or blows much smoke at all. It starts and idles perfect as well.
If you are using steady throttle to sit at 50-90mph it's fine as well, no jerking.
Someone said it might be the EGR valve or something but I'm not too sure how this would make it jerky?
Any ideas?
Thanks
