Hi,

I'm looking into running non-runflat winter tyres this year (still smarting at last years winter and shredding the summer ones) is it just a case of getting some rims and getting winter tyres? I was also thinking of getting a spacesaver spare.

Just wanted to hear your thoughts, many thanks.

I've just bought a spare set of alloys (18" MV3s) with Nokian winter tyres fitted. One of the alloys needs a wee refurb and the winters have 6mm on them. £750 for the lot (inc. 2 Michelin PS which I don't need and will be selling)

I got them from a guy with a 335i touring who was upgrading his wheels (E90post.com). He swore by them

I think that's the plan, did you bother with a space saver as a spare? Also what tyre sizes did you use?

Many thanks

Haven't bothered with a space saver.

Tyre size is 235/40/18 on all four.

It is 8.5 at the rear, and 8 on the front. Tyre size is fine for both.
