Fuel filler cap - you a lefty or a righty?

On both the V70 and my WRX the fuel cap is on the right hand side of the car.
I'm guessing that the location is a packaging issue rather than based upon any regulations? Oh, and why is it only Ford that put a little arrow on the fuel guage showing you which side its on?
So go on, let us know which way you swing (the fuel pump) - don't forget to include the car.
(and then we can make some predictions on which queue at the petrol station will be quicker

) I could be completely wrong but I thought the location of the fuel cap was dependant on where the car was made. For example, all French on the right hand side, Vauxhall and British manufacturers on the left?
On a side note, recently I've noticed I'm adopting the I'm a little T-pot stance whilst filling my car up. Getting pretty annoyed at myself whenever I catch myself doing it.

MX5 on the left (correct ) side.
Filler caps are (usually) on the offside of the car, for whatever country the car originally hails from. So, Euroboxes will typically be on the right, Jap, Brit cars on the left.

We've got three rights and a back-right. Two of those cars are British and two are from continental Europe, so I don't think it has much to do with the domestic market's side of the road.
Interesting, perhaps it's all to do with fuel tank positioning (and therefore all about a car's fundamental design) rather than anything else?
