Servo price. OMG!!!

So it turns out that my servo has rusted through and I'm going to need a new one. I have the Ford type but can't seem to find it for less then £174. Does that sound right? I've read all the posts regarding servos but can't find any mention of price. Seems a lot to me. Any ideas anyone?

Fiesta Xr2i servo fits. See some earlier threads ( sorry no time to search at mo. ~ someone will be along soon no doubt)
I picked one up on ebay for 99p plus £10 postage (with mastercylinder thrown in ~ works fine)

Same one though V8 or V6 unless you have a V6 with Saab version

There's lots of Fiesta servo's on Ebay att he moment. I bought a Fiesta Mk3 one last year for my V8S. The Ford identification lable is still on it and the number is 4049404 89FB-DB. Cross-checked the numbers and this corresponds to the TVR number. Hope this helps. The master clyinder I got with the servo has a 22.2mm bore and if anyone wants to know the Ford part number on the plastic tag just let me know.

I just read a message that there are a bunch for sale on EBay. After much searching I can't find the right one anywhere. Am I being totally obtuse? I hope so!!!!
Can anyone point me to one, new or used? I think I may replace the master cyl too.
Also, looking at the thread that outlines the different types of servo, will all 3 of them fit?

Hi Owen,

If you're desperate, I have a scruffy but working servo/master combo removed from my V8S last year that you can have.

You'll have to pick it up from Saffron Walden though.

You need to be carefully as there are several different fiesta servos I did mine last year it was about £ 170 from tvr car parts. On the plus side if its a straight swap you can use your original master cylinder not so with the saab unit .

Could you let me know the Ford part number on the plastic tag please. Had a look at my servo at the weekend and it is looking a bit fluffy under the paint and rusty around the edge. Was it a straight forward swap on the V8S?

I'll get it out of the garage tomorrow and have a look at the tag. It was a very easy job to swap the servo, just a straight swap. I re-used the existing master cylinder and it bolted straight onto the "new" servo.

The number on the plastic tag (on the master cylinder) is 6561 07 44 GY. Hope this helps.
