Some bloke took a photo of my car...

... whilst sitting in traffic just after I'd overtaken him on a single carriageway. Was a perfectly legitimate overtake with a queue of traffic about 500 yards in front leading up to a roundabout.
Having seen the queue, I was coasting and starting to brake, but still catching up to him at a fair rate (think he'd just pulled out of a sideroad), so instead of braking harder just pulled out, let off the brakes momentarily, sailed past him then braked perfectly safely to a stop.
Thought nothing more of it until I glanced in the rear view mirror whilst stationary to see him taking a photo with his phone. I laughed at him in the mirror and nearly turned around in my seat to ask WTF, but traffic started to move so didn't.
This is odd behaviour surely? Can he report me (for god knows what) with a photo?

That didn't take long.How about, the OP didn't want to slam the anchors on unnecessarily when he had plenty momentum to get by the guy safely?

You know the sort of thing, you're doing 60mph on a single carriage way, some numpty pulls out of a junction without waiting for you to go by. They don't even speed up at a sufficient rate so you have to either brake significantly for them, or as I do, overtake if its safe. It's amazing when you glance back in the mirror and see THEIR the dissaproving gestures!

As long as you know you didn't cut him up on the way back to your side of the road, I'd say you can sleep with a clear driving conscience (or perhaps car-ma?!)
