Driving to Beckton (East London) on Monday morning

I have a meeting in Beckton at 9am on Monday morning and I'm think of driving (from Buckinghamshire), am I mad or is the traffic not too bad?

Choosing some of the worst roads and worst times! (and certainly the worst part of London)

IF the M25 is ok, the bottom of the M11 will be very slow, with conjestion all the way to Beckton.


Is getting there at 7 a.m. an option?

I used to travel down the M11 and onto the A406 down to Barking daily (), and it wasn't too bad really, just the usual bottleneck when it goes from three to two lanes at the bottom of the M11.

Unless you intend to arrive in the area before 7am and wait for your meeting DO NOT use the M25 and A13 option. I go past the A13 every day on the train between 7 and 8 and it is at a full stop every day before Dagenham.

Nice thought but they don't open on Mondays!!!!! Ended up in Asda in Beckton for my breakie.

Drove in the end - left at 6am, sat nav said 1hr 20m, took 1 hr 5mins, so arrived nearly 2 hours early! Thank god for a greasy spoon and a 3g card in the laptop
