Nearly there again
Discussion
Well I drove mine again for the first time in four months.
After the Hub scare, which required rebuilds of the half-shafts, there has been the redesign of the rear suspension that in turn required a redesign of the exhaust system and then there is the replacement electric power steering.
First impressions are that I'll have to learn to drive the car again as it is so different and quieter. I should be taking delivery on Monday after it passes its MOT
, together with some pictures.
More details to follow. I'll try and answer specific requests for information.

Hi Henry..Electric power steering is the way to go..It frees up space in the engine compartment so theres room for a turbo..
..Thats the route im going down next year..Cheers..Ziga
You'll need the turbo to offset the additional electromagnetic braking caused by the electric PAS pump loading-up the alternator

There's no such thing as free power...

No free lunch Ian but it would be interesting to weigh-up which is more efficient driving a PAS pump or the leccy motor in the Corsa rack.
I'll be going the Corsa route as it is a lot neater and gets rids of PAS fluid hoses, pump etc.

Also you can fit an on/off switch, I have one on the racer, and when racing turn it off, and only use it in the pits and when loading the car etc.I'll be going the Corsa route as it is a lot neater and gets rids of PAS fluid hoses, pump etc.

Also, you can fit a switch on the electric pump so you don't have to run with it all of the time.I'll be going the Corsa route as it is a lot neater and gets rids of PAS fluid hoses, pump etc.
I will be installing this on my e-PAS:

What rack will you be using, as I have that controller but find it too assisted, for my rack, but it's a non PAS rack, so I have a on/off switch and only use it when moving the car about, and have it off when driving.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CORSA-RALLY-ELECTRIC-POW...

The car is extremely smooth to drive, feels significantly quicker, the bangs and crashes have disappeared and it is quiet
. The steering is light with a standard rack and four turns lock-to-lock. The electric power steering needs more experience before I comment further, but is quite light with less feel.
Underneath the care looks like a work of art. Maybe I had better not get it wet or muddy.
More comments later as I get used to the changes.

With my limited technical knowledge and experience, the tie rods instead of being parallel to the car direction have been moved to form an A-frame. The springs have been uprated and there are adjustable shocks at 12-clicks up.
Please, if there are specific questions then I will get answers. Alternatively when in the area, please stop by for a cup of tea and thorough examination.
