Haven't had my renewal yet but here is a list of quotes so far.
I'll be 29 on renewal, 6 years protected NCD. No points,etc.... Currently with Tesco

Most of these are 5000 miles per year.

Liverpool Victoria: Need to be 30
NU with a 570quid excess: 1450
Peart: 1543
Sunninghill with 500 excess: 1150
Classicline: 880
A1: 1166
Manning: more than 1000
Virgin: 1450
MSM: 717 w/o breakdown cover (70 quid extra for that)
Bell Direct: 1806
Hyperformance: Stopped quoting when they heard my best yet

I was paying less than most of these last year and a lot have said that tvr insurance has rocketed in the last 12 months.

So much for phoning around at renewal time!!!!

I can't believe that they are almost all over a grand still. I'm almost an old man....

More to follow when I run out of names in the Yellow Pages.

Andy

28 years old, 3 years NCD, 95 N Reg Griff 500, £530 a year with Sunninghill limited to 6,000 miles a year. Oh and I live near Brighton if it matters.

It's a deal, it's a steal...

I am 29 also and shopped my insurance around at renewal. Called pretty much all the people you did and ended up staying with Direct Line who reduced my premium by about £100 to £1,018 and kept the excess the same (£350). I think if you get the quote online you get 5% discount too. Sunninghill and Classicline were a little more expensive with £500 excess. Sunninghill did include track day cover though which DL don't.

Hope this is of some help!

andy4200, sounds like you live in a bad area to me ! Try moving house (using a different address) and see if it goes down....

We've just renewed with Sunninghill (26, 6 NCD, 12,000 miles a year) for £750.....

I live in North Leeds. Quite a respectable area if you please....

At the moment it looks like MSM so maybe another year without trackdays till I turn 30 (I suppose there has to be one good thing for getting that old.)

I get a lot of quotes each year (32 is my best tally to date) and the best price I got this year was from Cheam (01737 354377) who knocked about £100 off my renewal price.
