Only a thought at the moment !!!!
Discussion
I've got the Megssquirt system setup in my car at the moment [390SE] was thinking of putting it back to original working's, the squirt works fine.
If i was going to bring it back would i need - coil, distributor, air flow meter and an ecu, would there be anything else needed and would it be quite difficult to do so.
If you could let me know your thought's would be gratefull.
regards jonny.

Hi Jonny, I have a 390se and I am thinking of going over to mega squirt, what is your thinking behind going the other way? We might even be able to do some part swopping with relevant beer token exchange but for me that would need to be in the hooning closed season, November to Februaryl!

Will get back to you Phil, still in thought process at moment.Phil
cheers jonny.
Depends on what's been left on the engine or what you have stashed in the shed, but essentially the FI system is a standalone assembly that can be liberated from another engine and retrofitted if necessary.
You'd need the ECU, wiring loom, two relays, steering module, airflow meter, set of injectors with fuel rail and pressure regulator, injector power resistor module, coolant temperature sensor, auxiliary air device and its associated pipework, throttle pot., distributor inc. vac advance piping. Also in the system but usually not needed are the thermotime switch and cold start injector.
Of course you ideally want a matched pair of ECU and AFM and preferably from a vehicle with an engine spec. as close as possible to what you have otherwise fuelling and hence power delivery could (almost certainly will) be different/wrong/compromised.
