My dad is considering selling his peugeot 405 1.9l turbo diesel from 1991. It's not worth much as scrap, but it means alot to me.

Share youre stories about how cars mean more to you than there scrap value itt.

it wasnt technically worth more scraped...but i did fit 3 engines and 3 transfer boxes into a calibra turbo i had about 8years ago! looking back on it now, that was a strange way of spending all my money all the time.

I have a Peugeot 106 diesel sat outside my house with the last of it's two months MoT dwindling away. It has 165k miles on it yet still runs brilliantly. If I cash in the 9 months tax and weigh it in I could get £200 for it, but I just can't bring myself to scrap a perfectly serviceable machine, especially one that's been so good to me. So far my meagre efforts to get £200 for it as a runner have proved fruitless. When the MoT is up I doubt I'll have much choice, but I don't think that'll quench the guilt.
