I am wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction where I could get the following PDA:
Sat Nav (is it TomTom?)
Good capacity to store music
The usual diary etc etc
and (and this is the bit I am struggling with) the ability to just slot it into a cradle in my car and the sat nav voice and the music to go through my car stereo and sound really good (well, as good as a CD anyway).
Thanks for your help
Cheers

We've just done this, got a setup like this...

We went for a better axim so the cost was a bit higher, I have no idea how good it all is as it has not been delivered yet.

Ah now I did not know you wanted to play the mp3s in the car.
Your choices are as follows..
Using the line out of the pda, use a tape head convertor to your in car head unit.
Or if you have a line in to your head unit then do it that way, or get one of those FM transmitter things like they have for an ipaq and tune your head unit to it.

I already had an HP iPAC 2210 PDA, this is linked to my PC based ms outlook package which i use for diary/contacts, notes etc, it came preinstalled with ms word and excel, have just installed Tomtom sat nav for the car, its so easy to use and soooo accurate, try speaking the total pda (steven) 0870 220 4800 www.totalpda.co.uk, very helpful chap and great service ordered and delivered within three days, not to sure how much the basic pda is as i bought my last year duty free, the sat nav bits including car cradle and memory upgrade came to 237 inc delivery, I did look around and found a couple of places that were slightly cheaper but when i phoned the lady told me they did not sell sat nav (thier web pages said otherwise!!!!)
hope this helps

I just bought a Ipaq2210 and tomtom sat nav with car kit from pc world. All in £299. Absolutely excellent. total pda sell an FM transmitter that you plug into your pda and it sends a radio signal to your car stereo. then you simply tune in your radio to the right frequency, about £28.00 i think.
I've got both a windows based PDA, and also a tungsten T3, out of them both i rate the Palm Tungsten T3 far higher than the windows based one.
The T3 isn't prone to bugs and the like that windows based PDA's are. Quality? well, again the Palm wins, it's just put together right, feels solid, and is compact. the only downfall i see with the Palm, is the lack of expansion/shared memory slots. they are workling on it, and the problem about memory has just been sorted, as i've just got my mits on a 1GB SD card for the lurvely sum of about 150 Pounds!
the T3 is more expensive, but can do so much! reliability gets it's vote for me too.
try doing a search for Palm tungsten T3, have a look. I swear by them.
Hope it helps,
Jeff
Oh, i have Bluetooth nav for my Palm, came with all the maps for Euroupe and now have FULL detailed maps of Germany/Austria/Switzerland/UK/Ireland on my SD card and still have 100MB free!
