Already checked the usual suspects: B&Q don't deliver, all local stores out of stock. Wickes deliver for £20 but don't have anything near the correct size. Homebase only sell silly sizes.

Specifically looking for pine lengths approx 150mm x 25mm x 1800mm. I may even be able to fit it in the car if I could find somewhere that had the right stuff, I'm in the Tyne and Wear area.

Excellent, there's one right near my house apparently! you don't have to be in the trade to buy from them, do you?

Amazes me that people think online is the only way to buy stuff.

It depends on how long your car is, I'm not sure I'd fit a 2 metre length of wood in mine hence the reason I was looking for someone to deliver.

mrmaggit I was thinking the same thing when I read the title.

Steve, of course not everyone can fit big stuff in their car, but it's entirely possible to DRIVE to a shop and order stuff there for later delivery (kitchens/bathrooms). Equally you can phone up these shops instead of driving there. Plenty of companies deliver without having an online shop, is the point.
