Getting withdrawal already
Discussion
Dropped the car off at Track v Road earlier for its first MoT and service in my care (though it's been to TvR many times before and already feeling a little loss. Garage seems very large and empty now...
It's going to be away for a couple of weeks as the shop is busy and they also need to drop it off at D&C for a new rear window. If we have a heatwave now I'm not going to be impressed!
On the plus side it was a lovely drive over there and there were plenty of drool worthy TVRs on show. Very nice Tuscan 2 convertible in and a Tuscan 1 in the best paint I've ever seen, nice dark metallic red that apparently was the end result of a 10K paint job. If the Tuscan 2 had been that colour then I'd be on ebay now selling kidneys.
Check back in 2 weeks time for an entirely different feeling of loss involving my wallet
One thing I did notice as it was very nice and sunny is that the paint has a lot of swirls and scratches, so I think it's time to take some beers to my neighbour (and owner of cleanmycar.co.uk) and get a paint correction done

What type of rebuild did you choose, 4.0L, 4.3L or 4.5L?.
I have gone for a standard 3.6 rebuild. Unfortunately it came at the wrong time for me. Car needed a clutch and service as well, plus I've just had to pay for my wedding. Would have liked to upgrade, but just couldn't stretch my finances that far. Maybe another time.franky dB said:

Hey, nothing wrong with standard rebuild, I find my 4.0l plenty fast enough and TBH an extra £3k for a 4.3 is a lot of cash although I haven,t driven one maybe it is well worth it, those who have parted with £8.5k seem happy enough. Good luck with the wedding and I hope you get your car back soon.
