This one especially for Eric.
If you make your way down to the Farnborough College Of Technology Aerospace and Motoring Centre (just over Sycamore Road from the main college site) in the fenced off area to the left (as you look at it from the Farnborough Road) is a TSR2 cockpit fuselage section.
I think it is the one that was outside at Brooklands, as it's on the same blue trolley.
Unfortunately there are lots of signs that the place is under 24 hour CCTV surveillance - shame - it would look good i my back garden :-)

No idea at the moment - but I've emailed the guy who deals with exhibits at Brooklands to try and find out.
If I get a reply, I'll post back.
Alternatively could ask the college I suppose......
You can see it from the front of the building from by the bus stop, but you get a better view by hopping over the small fence and up the grass bank.
It's then nose on to you.
But you get an even better view from the back of the storage area, although you're only then looking at the back end bulkhead.

I got a reply from Brooklands Museum in response to my question of whether they'd lent the TSR2 cockpit section to the college.
"It is not anything very extensive, they are just reinstalling the radome, and upgrading the trolley".
Not sure I'd notice the difference to be honest - but nice to know these things.
I'm exceedingly pleased with my "spotting skills" as I noticed it in a split second as I went past on the Goldline 1 bus on my way to a night out at the Prince Of Wales pub!
Good job I was sober at the time, otherwise I have missed it!
