Road speed sensor pin?

Im trying to send a direct speedo sensor feed to the ecu so it knows the car is moving,my problem is that the pin in the bible (no 6) doesnt seem to be connected to the interface box,any ideas?

im doing this because ive fitted a new speedy cables speedo with a Steve Heath sensor,but for some reason the ecu isnt getting the correct signals so it thinks the cars stationary.

Does your car have the rover box, if so it probably gets the ecu speed signal from the gearbox sender (since the SH sensor is not for the pre-cat arrangement).

No it does have the T5 box.

You might be onto something there though because the original speedo only had a 3 wire plug which speedy cables said was a rover one?

If the 'rover' wiring is there..... normally clipped to top chassis rail running back behind bellhousing to RHS of the box so you should be able to feel it with just a bit of wriggling from underneath (FFS don't pull out the reverse switch though )

Thanks for that Spend,but if it is there what then,i mean it worked with the old speedo sensor set up wires?

Trust me to have such a car,i mean the toothed sensor wheel had 16 teeth instead of 46 ish teeth so that had to be calibrated

Heres a question then if i run a wire from the Steve Heath interface boxes live output to pin 6 on the ecu will it work?
