seems odd for a dealer to buy a car like that at a high profile auction and then make much money on it?? Would have thought anyone who wanted one would have bid at the auction..

Slim mark up for one of those IMO.

£6.5k gross margin. Take out over £1k for VAT, then the pre-sale preparation costs, advertising and the cost of money whilst it's in stock, especially if it's in stock a while and a service becomes due etc. There's also buyer's fees, delivery charges and the like to factor in.

Banking heavily on celebrity factor to sell it quickly I suspect.
