Thinking of getting one as a daily drive.
I know this is the god forbidden question, but what is the MPG like?
Currently use an Alpina D3 in which I get 500+ miles on a full tank and am averaging 42mpg.
Mix of town and motorway, do about 15k a year.
Ruled out the M3 Saloon as most cant get more than 16mpg out of it!

Anywhere between 15mpg around town to 22mpg on the motorway.
But booting it to get the glorious sound results in a much lower mpg and worn out rear tyres in 5000 miles.
Expensive to run, but great fun! If you've discounted the M3 based on mpg then surely you have dismissed the C63 too.

I would also think that if you've dismissed an M3 because of fuel consumption, that would rule out the C63. They aren't going to be that much different either way, it's not as if you're comparing a C63 with a Kia Picanto.
The way you drive will have more of an impact on the actual figures obtained by the M3 and C63 than anything else. You are only going to be talking about a few mpg either way, which will be peanuts compared to the other costs.

I used to own an m3 saloon and can say straight away that there is a neglible difference in the fuel consumption - if anything i notice I fill up more in the C63.I know this is the god forbidden question, but what is the MPG like?

They are both as bad as eachother really.
You already know the answer to the question I'm afraid.
If mpg is an issue the C63 really isn't an option. I'm currently averaging 19l per 100km (can't be bothered to do the math sorry) albeit the majority of my daily drive is along roads dotted with traffic lights.
However I would still strongly recommend one, mpg aside. I love mine. The engine and exhaust note are epic. It can do the quiet, family taxi thing brilliantly yet turn into a snarling, antisocial road missile with a flex of the ankle.
Go on, do it, doooo it............ (test drive one at the very least)

I've ended up having to do a fair few miles in it which was just killing the residuals so it had to go....it also went wrong quite a lot (and theres a surprise!) so I was getting fed up with it going back to the dealers all the time. It was the most beautiful car I've owned but it was a bit frustrating as a daily driver.
I've got the M3 to do the miles in actually (most sane people would probably get a 335d or C350CDi if they wanted a fast car to do miles in, not a 4 litre M3!). Anyway, I had 2-years ago and had forgotten how good these M3's are....it's not as quick, refined or aurally pleasing as the C63 by a long shot but it was the gearbox (DCT and fantastic) and the handling that sold this car to me. Not to mention that I could get a relatively crap deal on a new C63 when on my ex-demo M3, I got £16k off list!

Your old C63 (PPP) was up for sale a while ago!

it does seem that dealers are holding back at the moment to give good deals on the new c63 but i think that will change as a lot of the cars will go on as demos which will then come off dec jan which will be a good time to buy 1.I've ended up having to do a fair few miles in it which was just killing the residuals so it had to go....it also went wrong quite a lot (and theres a surprise!) so I was getting fed up with it going back to the dealers all the time. To the op ,I was in a park ,car park.This hound of hell noise was coming from a car being blipped.
I wandered over to see and hear my first C63.
I allways thought a TVR engine noise was the best,not now.
The guy blipping the throttle was a dealer mechanic taking the car somewhere.
I was like a 10 year old blipping away while sitting in it,him with a big smile.
I said lets have a look at the OBC ,it showed........13 mpg (gulp)
I do 30k a year I can only dream.
