P38 O-ring Failure Question

I seem to have a random slow leak of coolant mixture but I can't find where it is coming from....the drip is collecting on the bottom of the sill at the join between the drivers door and the rear passenger door. Nowhere else along the off-side sill appears to be wet so I am buggered if i can tell where it is coming from...

Now, about 5 or 6 years ago my old 4.0L P38 had soaking wet drivers side carpets and so I had the o-rings done at the time and it cured the problem, but if this has re-occurred then would the fluid end up where it is and does it ever do it without wetting the carpets?

Are you sure it's coolant? Does it taste sweet?

Not tasted it, but it is the same pinky colour as the coolant and not viscous like oil.

I would carefully taste it to be sure. I've had the entire dash and hevac out on mine - and i cant think how its getting there.

Almost certainly this is the O rings that seal the heater pipes to the heater radiator...

Bit of a fiddly job but easily done with patience...O rings cost about 2.30 each from Land Rover.

Just realised that o/p said Drivers side. For some odd reason I was reading it as passenger side - duh.
So yes, almost certainly the orings.

Rub your fingers over this area and see if it tastes sweet:

It seems a bit of an odd place for a leak in the matrix o rings to get to...

I would urgently check your carpet. If it is the heater o rings and it's leaking that much then your BECM under the drivers seat is living on seriously borrowed time...

Unless you've got a hole in the sill.
