We are planning to move our TV onto the wall from the current cupbard it sits in & will have the usual home cinema, Xbox, Satallite box etc, etc to locate somewhere.

The wall we're moving the TV to backs onto the understairs cupborad so we can run the cables through the wall to hide them away, but will still have the six items that utilies the TV to store / stack somewhere.

Any ideas on either homemade units or where to buy a decent looking storage system?

Did search & also wonder if this is the right forum, could have gone in TV?

Thanks for any ideas or tips.

You could hide some of it under the stairs, my mate has the same setup and all his gear is in the cupboard and magic eye to control it.

Easy enough to get cupboards built, we had a local joiner do ours, wasn't that expensive but depends on what you want really if you want to have it on display or hidden away. Our cupboards hide everything away, mainly to keep it away from my toddlers fingers!

Have a look over in the members gallery at avforums.

Ikea seems to be the best place for av storage without breaking the bank!

Not quite what you're after but I've used ikea units without the wheels on

I found all of the Ikea stuff to be far too shallow if you have mid to high end equipment.

I've used kitchen cupboards, Under Stairs Cupboards, Study Desks and even the inside of a bench seat and bedroom draw to hide hardware.

Using either a simple magic eye type set up or a more advanced iPad or RF Remote Control.

Depending where you are in the UK there are several of us Custom Installers on here who could at least advise you or help you.
