A first for Hull, the P1 SuperStock Championship brings the UK’s top powerboat racers to East Yorkshire for the third round of the 2011 season this weekend.

Best viewing spots are going to be on the quayside just in front of the World Trade Centre, timetable as below.

Looking forward to seeing the action on the Humber, should be pretty exciting by all accounts, the boats are coming pretty close to shore!

Timetable:

Saturday, 30 July:
P1 Panther 250 Match Racing: 18.45
P1 Panther 250/P1 150 Race One: 20.00

Sunday, 31 July:
P1 150 Match Racing: 17.30
P1 Panther 250/P1 150 Race Two: 18.45
Prize Giving/Podium Ceremony: After last race

Anyone here attending?

Media interest in the Hull race is the biggest yet, with much attention focused on Hull born Ian Brusby and Berverley man John Wilson. BBC TV and radio, Hull Daily Mail and Viking Radio all taking an active interest.

BBC Humberside is broadcasting its entire Saturday afternoon show on Saturday and Sunday from the marina hosted by James Hoggarth.

It could be mega...
It will be interesting to see how Hull reacts to its first ever Power boat event!
