I recently had my L322 Range Rover on a holiday over to Europe and since I have returned, I am having a problem with the alarm going off.

We travelled by ferry and on the return journey, the weather was awful and the boat was being thrown about on some really big swells.

When we went to depart the boat in the morning, the car wouldn't start as the battery was flat. This made me think that the alarm may have been going off all night (even though I'm sure that I pressed the button on the key fob twice to disable the tilt sensors).

Since I have returned the alarm goes off sometime (quite a lot) when the car is locked. Sometime it goes off as soon as it's locked and other times it waits for a number of hours. Sometimes it's fine.

It this likely to be a problem with the tilt sensor ? Have it's settings been messed up with the boat trip ?

Most importantly, how do I fix it !

Thanks in advance.

Under the bonnet near the battery should be a courtesy light type switch, try disconnecting the wire then close the bonnet and arm the alarm
